It was National Poetry Day on Thursday. We learnt how to recognise a poem and listened to some seaside poetry. We then enjoyed a visit from a highly acclaimed, award-winning professional poet, performer and educator, Joshua Seigel. The children were enthralled by his poems and found them very funny too! For home learning, they now need to find a poem to read, learn and then perform for the class.
